Install and set up

Install Haicue, connect an agent, and choose where your work lives.

Choose your platform

The install page has downloads for macOS on Apple silicon and Windows x64. Windows support is experimental. On macOS, open the disk image and drag Haicue into Applications, or use the Terminal or Homebrew instructions. On Windows, run the downloaded installer and follow its prompts.

Depending on your system configuration, Haicue may require administrator privileges on macOS or Windows.

What you need

Have an agent runtime installed and signed in before starting a session. Haicue uses the runtime’s account and available models; installation does not include an agent subscription. Choose a writable workspace folder for your threads and files. A Git repository is optional.

First launch

Open Haicue and follow setup to choose your workspace and connect your agent. Start with one small task using Start your first thread. Enable optional tools in Settings as you need them. Live Capture and browser tools may need additional setup and operating-system permissions.

If setup gets stuck

If a session can run, ask its agent to troubleshoot Haicue. Otherwise, check that the agent runtime is installed and signed in, and look for a startup trust or permission prompt. See Troubleshooting or email hai@haicue.com with what happened.
